I only bloody won!

Earlier this year my wonderful couples started voting for me in one of the country’s best wedding awards. The Wedding Industry Awards or TWIA as it’s often shortened to is voted for by real wedding couples and then goes on to a judging panel of highly esteemed judges within their specialism, and that’s one reason why it feels so special to have won the West Midlands Best Cake Maker award. Knowing that my couples loved their cakes enough to vote for me means the world to me, often being a cake designer can feel a little shut off from the hustle and bustle of the actual wedding, as we often work alone and only see other suppliers briefly on the day. This section of the wedding industry is a saturated market and to be able to stand out is a huge challenge which makes this award even better. The competition this year is really strong and there’s some stunning designers, I can’t wait to meet them at the National Awards in January. Fingers crossed for more success there.
