How to book your luxury wedding cake

WEDDING CONSULTATIONS
Wedding consultations take place by appointment only. My dates tend to get booked up quickly but I will try and accommodate weekday and weekend appointments. The consultations take place via Zoom and are for up to two people to discuss your ideas and requirements. After an initial chat via phone or email I will provide a quote and I can get your cake booked in with a £150 booking fee, this payment secures your date. You will then be given a discount code to use to purchase your tasting box via my shop page.
TASTING BOXES
Receiving cake tasting boxes in the post has to be one of the best bits about wedding planning, and one that your partner will be happy to get involved in. Once you book your wedding with me you will receive a discount code via email to book your tasting box. This code discounts £20 from the box but sadly I can’t offer them free of charge, next day postage is also added but you are more than welcome to collect. Each box contains 8 flavours, 4 of my most popular - Raspberry and White Chocolate, Chocolate, Caramel, and Lemon and White Chocolate, plus 4 flavours of your choice from my flavour range. These are only available a few times a year but you can order a random box all year round.
DESIGN PROCESS
Roughly 4 months before your wedding I’ll be in touch to arrange a zoom call to start the design work. At this point I request a further £150 payment towards your balance. We’ll go over your ideas, I’ll often do a quick sketch during the call and we’ll talk over flavours, styling, flowers and stand hire, and anything else that you’d like to cover.
LEAD TIMES
I only take a small number of wedding commissions per week and so encourage you to book early to avoid disappointment. I generally ask for a 12 month lead time with wedding orders during the busy season between May and September. I do of course accept orders with shorter lead times, so it’s always worth emailing to check availability, please fill out the contact form
PAYMENT
To secure your booking a £150 non-refundable deposit is required for wedding cake orders. 4 months before your wedding I ask a further £150 non-refundable payment towards your cake and to cover my work during our zoom call, design work, admin and any work towards your design such as sugar flowers. The balance of your order is due on the 1st of the month before your wedding date, I.e. wedding date is 26th August your balance is due 1st July. Payment is accepted via bank transfer only.
DELIVERY
Due to the fragile nature of stacked wedding cakes I recommend and offer a delivery and set up service. The price for delivery and set up will be supplied on your invoice/quote. Set ups for larger dessert table options, fresh and/or sugar flowers may cost extra as these take more time at the venue. I do charge extra for Sunday and Bank Holiday deliveries. Collection is available on single tier cakes or simply designed two tier cakes.
HIRE ITEMS
I am happy to also provide cake stands, logs etc these are charged at a flat rate for hire, price on application, with a £20-£100 refundable holding deposit, this deposit will be refunded once the items are returned back to me clean and in the condition they were delivered in, within 4 days of the event. The cost of stand hire is not included in the price of your cake. Should you require me to collect the items this is also at an extra collection charge.
